I need help understanding what’s going on and how to fix this? is this hardware malfunction or software? Now, I’m forced to activate ‘Use Embree’ to render my scene (people say this is slower method to render but, I find it way faster than my initial setup -_-!). ![]() It seems to me that dynamic memory limit doesn’t work at all. leaving 1gb for 3ds max to keep its software open and render + windows 10 to run. ![]() As I render again, I saw the ‘In use’ physical memory bar went up and up all the way to 16gb and then watch the modified cached memory retaliate and kept increasing all the way to 15gb. So, i open task manager to track down what happen on the memory. It went super slow and crashed the 3Ds max, with an error message saying it’s running out of memory. However, once I start the rendering process. ![]() I set it to high quality and set Dynamic Memory Limit to 11000 (I have 16gb) I’ve been trying to render an interior scene (1,186,410 polys) using vray.
